How NightEye™ works

Three simple steps, and NightEye™ keeps watch over the entire charging chain – charger, cable and device.

    Plug into the charger

    Insert NightEye™ into your existing wall charger. It fits standard USB-A and USB-C chargers.

  2. 02

    Connect the cable

    Plug your usual charging cable into NightEye™. No apps, no pairing and no setup required.

  3. 03

    Connect your device

    Connect your phone or tablet. The indicator light shows that NightEye™ is active and monitoring.

What it monitors

The charger

Power surges and overvoltage from the charger, a common weak point in cheap or damaged chargers.

The cable and connectors

Heat build-up in plugs and cable connections, where wear and damage often show first.

The charging environment

Smoke and gas around the charging point, which can be early signs of overheating electronics.

When NightEye™ alarms

If one of the sensors detects early signs of danger, NightEye™ sounds a loud alarm designed to wake you up.

Disconnect the charger from the wall socket if it is safe to do so, move away from smoke, and call your local emergency number if there is fire.

Replace the charger or cable that triggered the alarm before charging again.

User manual

Before first use

  • Read this manual before using the product.
  • Use NightEye™ indoors in a dry place, on a stable, non-flammable surface.
  • Check that the charger and cable are not visibly damaged.

Daily use

  • Leave NightEye™ connected between charger and cable every time you charge.
  • Place the charger where the alarm can be heard from your bed.
  • Do not cover the charger, NightEye™ or your device with pillows, blankets or clothing while charging.

Indicator and alarm

  • Steady light: NightEye™ is active and monitoring.
  • Loud alarm: a sensor has detected early signs of danger – act immediately.
  • No light: check that the charger is plugged into a working wall socket.

Care and safety

  • Do not open, modify or immerse NightEye™ in water.
  • Keep out of reach of small children when not in use.
  • NightEye™ gives an early warning. It does not replace smoke alarms required in your home.
